With 4 months to go in 2013 (250 cases to-date), we have SURPASSED the numbers of cases of polio for 2012 (223 cases).
We have seen a 42% REDUCTION in cases in ENDEMIC COUNTRIES (Nigeria, Afghanistan, Pakistan) year-to-date.
However, the... explosive 3480% INCREASE (you saw right) in polio cases in NON-ENDEMIC COUNTRIES (Somalia, Kenya & Ethiopia) is diminishing GPEI efforts in Asia.
AFRICA is responsible for 88% of 2013 world wide polio cases to-date.
Help GPEI & its partners (Rotary, WHO, CDC, UNICEF &, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation) to rid the world of polio. Donate &/or volunteer TODAY.
