THE MONTH OF APRIL IS CHILD PROTECTION MONTH IN THE BAHAMAS.
Senior Welfare Officer for the island of Eleuthera, Nickal Fernander, was guest speaker at the Rotary Club of Eleuthera. She highlighted the role that her Ministry plays, along with her plans to intensify awareness of the topic, and bring about heightened protection of our children.  Ms. Fernander also mentioned that with the opening of the new Zion's Children's Home on Current Island, this is a plus in placing children who are in crisis situations.  This facility is operated by the Bahamas Conference of the Methodist Church and the day to day operations overseen by members of the Methodist congregation on Current Island.  The Rotary Club of Eleuthera have partnered with the Zion's Children Home to aid in providing much needed resources.
