INVESTMENT IN HEALTH

Mr. Sameer Bhatti of Philadelphia PA, was guest speaker of the Rotary Club of Eleuthera, on 3rd April. Mr. Bhatti, a born Bahamian, along with his wife Dr. Trisha Bhatti, were on the island for their project, the official groundbreaking and opening of one of the first ever Organic Farms.  Mr. Bhatti spoke of their desire to assist in reversing the "unhealthy" trends, by investing in the future health of the land of his birth. The generous financial donation that they made, has already yielded crops of organic lettuce, arugula, spinach, kale and vegetables.

 

He further shared his vision to establish a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), with Rotarians leading the way. CSA is a popular new

trend in the US, known as ‘farm to table’, providing customers with fresher, organic food. Bhatti's presentation received overwhelming support from the Rotary Club of Eleuthera
