ROTARIAN IN THE SPOTLIGHT
Rotarian Sherrin Cooper, Senior Nursing Officer, has been a member of the Rotary Club of Eleuthera for the past five (5) years. She has served with distinction in the capacity of Secretary and now serves as Membership Chair. Her classification of Nurse/Health Care professional, permit her the opportunity to serve the community of Eleuthera in preventative care, which includes maternal and child health services, school health and health education.
Nurse Cooper has served as a Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife and Community Health Nurse/Health Visitor for the past Forty-two (42) years. As a Rotarian, she submits her expertise in the health care profession to any program that our club is involved in. Rotarian Sherrin freely gives advice on matters related to health care and is always willing to render “Service Above Self”. She has been awarded a Paul Harris Fellow as a result of her selfless service.
Despite her busy and full schedule, Nurse Cooper makes herself available to facilitate the Ministry of Health Nursing Cadet Program at the Central Eleuthera High School. The students that are enrolled in the program are interested in nursing as a future profession and they are mentored in weekly sessions by Nurse Cooper. This diligent, hardworking Rotarian inspires and motivates the next generation.
