Returning back to school at the end of the Summer Holiday for most children is exciting but can be challenging for many parents. However, over the years Rotary and other organizations have provided assistance to help alleviate the stress that many parents experience.

The Rotary Club of Eleuthera (RCE) was invited by one of the largest Corporations in the Bahamas, Sun Oil to volunteer at their Back-to-School Party/Give Away in Central and South Eleuthera. RCE volunteered at both locations. The event was held on August 17th, 2024, at Shell/Focol Oil Gas Stations located at the Supermarket, Rock Sound and Eleuthera Supply Shopping Center, Governor’s Harbour. RCE was also joined by the Kiwanis Club of South Eleuthera at the Rock Sound location. At both locations the children were served snacks, treats, soft drinks and water. The children enjoyed the bouncing castle, games and interaction with each other. At the end they all received what they came for, a bag full of school supplies which made them smile even more.

This occasion also provided an opportunity for both Rotary and Kiwanis Clubs to strengthen their brands and partnerships will all stakeholders and be more visible in the Community.
