We were pleased to get acquainted with four visitors from Texas, who were on a mission to Eleuthera. Mrs. Lita Taylor (Center in photo), at the age of 89 years, was on the island to trace the steps of her great-great grand father the Late Rev. John Turtle, who was deployed to the island as a Methodist Minister in the 1800s. She became aware that there is a Rotary Club on the island, and was pleased to say that her husband was a Past President/Charter member of a Rotary Club in her home town. Unfortunately, she was unable to recall the exact name of his club, but was able to share fund Rotary memories.
Rotarian Susan Culmer (far R), Rotarian Deborah Young (second R), and PP Jacquie Gibson (3rd L), presented Mrs. Taylor and her Daughter and Son-in-law Ron and Alma Hayes with our popular Rotary Club of Eleuthera monthly planners , to their delight.
