Rotary Club of Eleuthera Celebrates Four Years
January 2009 marked a significant time for community service on Eleuthera as Rotary International, the world's oldest service organization began meeting on the isle of Freedom!. The Rotary Club of Eleuthera was officially launched on Saturday January 10th at The Rock Sound Club with the Rotary Club of Southeast Nassau (RCSEN), who has 66 members and was established in 1976. Sponsorship of the Rotary Club of Eleuthera stared in 2008 at a meeting where interest was expressed for the establishment of a Rotary Club. Spearheaded by Timothy Ingraham of the RCSEN during his presidency and a native of Tarpum Bay, he has worked tirelessly to help get the Eleuthera club established. As a result, the Rotary Club of Eleuthera chartered and officially recognized on April 9th 2009. Thanks RCSEN! Congratulations RCE!
